Foundation

Specifically developed for complete beginners, this is our introductory programme of fundamental workshops. Designed to remove the mystery and complexity surrounding a career in this field, these courses aims to demonstrate that JEWELLERY and SILVERSMITHING is both accessible and rewarding.

Typically delivered in groups of up to 12, our fundamentals courses is delivered over the course of a full day, over a weekend, or stretched out over a period of evening workshops.

Participants develop their skills by working to a template where they reproduce a set portfolio of designed pieces that include a silver ring, pendant, earrings and bangle.

Intermediate

We are one of the few organizations that provide a comprehensive portfolio of industry-standard activities aimed at assisting individuals who wish to further develop their skills and pursue a career in the industry. From live, in-person studio sessions where participants work alongside skilled experts to our industry-standard foundry workshops, our intermediary courses are meticulously designed to enhance both skills and expertise.

What sets us apart in the industry, and clearly demonstrates our commitment to nurturing talent, is our unique work placement brokerage service. Upon graduating from our foundry programs, individuals gain access to exclusive work placement opportunities through our trusted network of industry partners. This invaluable service ensures that our graduates not only leave with advanced skills but also with the practical experience and industry connections needed to thrive in their careers.

Advanced

We also provide opportunities for ongoing professional development through the advanced strand of our work. Our program of masterclasses, mentoring, and networking events ensures that those who have embarked on a career in the industry continue to receive expert support and guidance.

Our advanced masterclasses are led by industry veterans who share their deep knowledge and cutting-edge techniques, offering participants a chance to refine their skills and stay ahead of industry trends. In addition, our mentoring program pairs individuals with seasoned professionals who provide personalised advice and insights, helping to navigate career challenges and achieve personal growth.

Networking events are a cornerstone of our professional development offerings, providing a platform for individuals to connect with peers, industry leaders, and potential collaborators. These events foster a vibrant community of professionals who support each other and drive innovation within the industry.

Make in a day

Make a basic silver ring in a day. Learn the basics of jewellery making, Skills developed include measuring, cutting, soldering, use of the jewelers saw and ring bending tool.

Make in the evenings

Complete making a bangle over 4 twilight sessions, participants will learn the art of creating a stunning ā€œCā€ shape bangle. Creating a bespoke piece unique to the maker.

Make over a weekend

Complete a matching set of ring. earrings and either a bangle or a pendent. Unique to the weekend courses is the opportunity to use a laser

Studio Sessions

1/2 day studio sessions where an industry expert demonstrates the use of specific skills. Includes an opportunity to try out for yourselves techniques under the careful guidance of a trained professional.

The Foundry

Building on learning from the fundamentals courses is our 3 day foundry workshops. Delivered in smaller groups of up to 6 participants, these workshops help develop expertise to industry standard levels

Work Placements

Once our students have a certain level of competence we are able to arrange work placements for them where they can further fine tune their developing skills.

Masterclasses

Our masterclasses are delivered by renowned experts in the industry. Masterclasses include a lecture element, followed by a live demonstration of a technique and completed by a Q&A session.

Mentoring

We support graduates of our foundry to access our mentoring programme where they receive guidance and support from professionals in their respective fields.

Networking

We host quarterly networking events that include presentations by leading organisations on the latest trends in the industry.
